Wixams, Village One, Bedford

Wixams is a new village just outside Bedford. RDC were instructed by Taylor Wimpey to obtain planning approval that required a design response in full compliance with an adopted development brief.

An architectural response reflecting the Bedfordshire vernacular was called for and a bespoke range of house types and apartments were created.

A series of stakeholder meetings were attended as part of an extensive pre – application process to ensure a quality design response that was in tune with local expectations.
